ABOUT MY SERVICES

A little about me...

I am a mother, wife, daughter, and psychologist. These are my identities, and how I spend most of my time. I became licensed and began practicing 20 years ago. I've spent 10 of these years as clinical faculty in a doctoral psychology program, and the past 2 years as faculty in a family medicine residency program. I've worked with or supervised work with over 500 clients in therapy and assessment, and helped train 200+ graduate students and 30 doctors. Please see my CV or my Linked In page at https://www.linkedin.com/in/gina-touch-mercer/ for information about my experience and published writing.

My commitment to you...

Learning has always been the most interesting part of my life. I began "teaching school" the summer after I finished Kindergarten, when I invited the neighborhood kids to my house, "so we wouldn't forget everything we learned all year." I've stayed in school for most of my life, but I've always tried to 'translate' information into something people can use to build a better life. As a therapist, I'm committed to helping you learn to define your identity and purpose, and to improve your self-respect, your relationships and how you are treated, your work or school life, your emotional well-being, and your health. I will try to help you find your strengths and resources, encourage your positive coping techniques, and help you live your values. As a consultant, facilitator, supervisor, coach and mentor, I will try to do the same... find strengths, address challenges, achieve values.
